A lot of people have suggested a day care system or a preschool to help regulate her to listening to authority of others. After considering and praying, I just feel like that's not the right route for us and that I can do this. The Lord makes me stronger and wiser in parenting day after day even on frustrating ones! Thanks girl!CourtneyKebhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12854168181754702524noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8484844728202737570.post-39945526631660647382012-04-13T13:14:57.584-05:002012-04-13T13:14:57.584-05:00Raising a strong-willed child can be really diffic...Raising a strong-willed child can be really difficult. I don't know from experience, but I do see them when they are high school students. And typically, the ones who had parents who consistently found resources to enable their parenting process are extremely well adjusted, enjoyable students. (I've heard stories, and I've seen the differences between parents who enable and parents who constantly discipline and rediscipline.)

I thought that might brighten your day.

Stopping by from Thankful Thursday.TheHousehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01532270244428320414noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8484844728202737570.post-59458997309986196292012-04-13T10:11:53.788-05:002012-04-13T10:11:53.788-05:00I have a feeling that Eloise is going to be simila...I have a feeling that Eloise is going to be similar... just by the way she behaves now. :) Cory often tells me that God is trying to teach me patience... I'm inclined to agree!

I think it's awesome that you recognize the need for help and are taking steps to figure things out. So many parents let other people deal with it (if they don't just sit them down in front of the TV for hours or give them what they want constantly!). They send their kids off to preschool or daycare and they don't have the constant battle. (I understand that there are needs for preschool and daycare in some situations) Anyway - Despite all of your frustrations - just know that reading about Adeline ("embarrassing" strong-willed stories and all) is a joy! :)Nenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00328315473270888007noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8484844728202737570.post-2412718317030573902012-04-13T08:43:32.652-05:002012-04-13T08:43:32.652-05:00Yea, this little book definitely has made a big im...Yea, this little book definitely has made a big impact!
Haha got to love phantom highlighting!CourtneyKebhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12854168181754702524noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8484844728202737570.post-37186556135212297392012-04-13T08:43:02.209-05:002012-04-13T08:43:02.209-05:00I love to read Hannah, that'll definitely go o...I love to read Hannah, that'll definitely go on my list! I don't have any advice for you, but I recently did a review on a book called "The 5 Love Languages of Children", and I think you would get a lot out of that one too. Not just for your daughter, but your other children as well. I enjoyed it tremendously and it's a great read for all parents. :)

http://handrewrod.blogspot.com/2012/04/5-love-languages-of-children-review.htmlHannah R.https://www.blogger.com/profile/08765230978096980235noreply@blogger.com
