Christmas Crafting and Decor

Yep, that's right. 25 more days.
These are going to be some of the best days of the whole year!!

Anyway, I wanted to share with ya'll some of my Christmas crafts/decorations I've been working on.
The first is my above shown Christmas countdown blocks.
I just used some Mod Podge and sealed in some scrap-booking paper and used my Cricut to cut the letters and numbers out.
I made 3 sets and kept this one and gave away the other two sets as gifts.

I love my hallway mirror, and I love even more that it has hooks for little hangings.
Last year I made this little snowman from a precut wooden snowman.
This year I stamped Adeline's little feet on some scrap wood and framed it with some sealed scrapbook paper. I'll always have a little memory of her first Christmas!

These are our stockings. They aren't the prettiest, but I love them!
Heidi made Adeline's last year (the second one) and I made the rest this year with my new beloved sewing machine. So I'm not a great seamstress, but they are simple and slouchy and best of all homemade!

I painted these three reindeer in a burgandy and red last year and tied some scrap ribbon around them this year. That along with an apple pie candle, and a Merry Christmas plaque I made from some more spare wood make a cozy little Christmas corner in my kitchen.

I LOVE MY CHRISTMAS CARD HOLDER!!!
Last year I put my actual cards standing on the counter, but for the cute photo cards that won't stand up I didn't have any place for.  This is the perfect solution to that!

Can you tell that I collect scrap wood?
Haha my 'Believe' blocks are made from Mod Podge, scrapbook paper, and you guessed it--scrap wood.
Cricut helped me cut out some nice pretty letters too!

One of my favorite Christmas crafts so far this year is this spare fabric wreath I made!
It's hung on my back door, and I absolutely love it!

That right there is my ornament ball.
It was kind of a pain in the butt to make since it was hotgluing ornaments to a Styrafoam ball, but I like the ending results. It took a lot of ornaments though. I ran out and had to make another trip to the Dollar Tree to get some more, so it looked more like an ornament helmet than a ball. My husband isn't so fond of it and still claims that it belongs on Lady GaGa's head for the Holidays.

I didn't make this, however it is a favorite of mind this Christmas. Philip's so sweet  cousin Kayla sculpted this little ornament for Adeline's first Christmas. Her initials are even carved in the back! I totally love handmade/homemade gifts and I think Adeline will appreciate it as she gets older too.

[That's her, isn't she cute?

So there you go, so far that's my house in all of it's Christmas glory. Minus my table centerpiece and my front door wreath both of which I already showed you.

Our ouside lights are up too, I just want to do a little extra outside on my windows before I'm happy with that.

Gee, I love this time of year!

  3. Would it be weird if I just copied and pasted Megan's comment because it's totally what I was thinking to say...???

Ok, so I won't entirely copy and paste but here it goes.

I absolutely LOVE the Christmas countdown blocks. After I post this, I am checking your etsy store for a set for the Moate house.

Love the ornament ball! Where do you find the time to do all these great crafts?!?! I have all the intention in the world to do things like this but it just never happens...hhhmmppffft! I think my weakness is TV....too much TV. New years resolution - cutting back to an hour....ok two hours a day. ;) I've got to catch up on all my crafting. You inspire me lady.
