I used to love this watermelon shirt from Urban Outfitters when I was a teenager.
I've kept it in my closet, and never could part with it in hopes of looking "cool" wearing it again one summer.
Well, I've recently [as in this morning] decided that it would look much cuter on Adeline.
and duh, it's a bit too big. So this morning's project was to take an adult sizeL tank top to a 18month dress.
Yayy, I did it! I just took it in [alot] and repositioned the shoulder straps.
There's elastic on the back, so I think she'll even be able to wear it next year maybe with a pair of shorts or some added ruffles on the bottom or something.
I'm really proud of myself because I'm an awful seamstress and this is my first repurposing project.
Score!
that is such a cute dress. im following from TTFF.
ReplyDeleteYou guys are not supposed to be sharing your clothes for another 16 years or so!! OMG! How friggin cute is that thing on her?!?! I could die! Great job girlfriend:) You have outdone yourself with that one! And thanks for the sweet comments about Sophie's party....I wish you could have come! Sometimes I feel like my "blogger" friends are closer to me than some of those "have to invite" friends you are kind of expected to invite those sort of functions...ya know?!
ReplyDeleteHow adorable is that? No other baby will be as stylish this summer.
