Felt Clips

My friend gave me a huge bag full of alligator clips and barrettes she didn't want anymore. They've been sitting on my counter waiting for me to get the inspiration and motivation to make something pretty out of them.  Of course I love my felt, so I had Adeline pick out four colors for some new bows and clips for her and her baby sister. [I think making hair accessories is like my favorite project!]
Felt is so easy to work with, and I'm linking to the tutorials I used to make these which are all super easy too; just in case you wanted to give this a go.
I absolutely love felt bows. I didn't make them exactly like this tutorial, but it was the closest I could find to the way I did it. There are so many tutorials out there I just figured it'd be redundant to make another one here. I just used a needle and thread and gathering hand stitch to gather the center of my bows (I think she used hot glue). These are just super cute and simple and look so pretty in a little girl's hair!
The pinwheel bow was a new one I tried. I think it's cute, and they're fun to make! I used this tutorial. I did a big one and a small one, but I think the smaller the cuter!
and seriously felt roses are so adorable and charming I loved the way these turned out! I used this tutorial just varying the sizes of my roses and scallops and not really measuring anything. I made a clip for Adeline and a headband with just regular elastic for Selah.
They came out so sweet I just wanted to share. Once I get on top of this housework I'll be happy to break out some more colors and work on some more! Until then I have approximately 4 loads of laundry to fold and hang and 2 loads to wash and dry, a load of dishes to be done, toys to pick up, floors to be vacuumed and mopped, bedrooms to clean, dusting to do, and I'm officially too tired to even begin. Guess I'll get off the computer though and take advantage of two napping wild things out of my legs. Have a lovely day!
