Sleepy Photo Challenge

Today is such a sleepy day. 

It's dark gray outside, and the sound of thunder is distant. 

The lights are off in the house, and the sun is taking a nap behind the clouds. 

Adeline's taking a nap too.

I think I have probably well-WELL over 100 pictures of her sleeping.

I just think there's something so innocent and beautiful about a little one in peaceful sleep.

Fingerprint Photo Challenge

The Paper Mama has been hosting some really fun photo challenges, but this one is going to be my favorite. 

I just know it!

This week's assignment is to link up a photo of your little one's hands, fingers, feet, or toes.

There is nothing I love more than baby fingers and toes.

-Okay a little chubby baby bottom maybe. 

Oh I could literally share with you probably a hundred pictures of Addie Jean's toes, and then another hundred of her little hands too. [No joke.]

Buuuuuut since I'm sure you all get your fill of Adeline photos anyway, I'll just stick with my all time favorite [I think].

I've been going through my pictures of her to search for some of my favorites...

which was a really bad idea because I find myself with tears streaming down my cheeks and a lump in my throat from realizing how near those baby days feel and how far away they are.

These are her little footsies at just 5 days old. 

Adeline was slightly jaundicey so this was during her first bath by the window. 

Be still my heart. Be still. 

Oh I could eat those little toes up! Mmmm

Okay that was my challenge photo, but because I spent a half hour looking through some of my other favorites, I can share those too.

 I love me some Addie toes.

Blue Photo Challenge

 This weeks photo challenge @ Paper Mama is:  blue.
So there's my photo.
My baby girl with her baby blues, dressed in blue, playing with her blue pony.

Adeline got the Disney Princess bath toys for Christmas.

She never really cared about them until recently.

She knows which one's Ariel, Sleeping Beauty, Belle, and Cinderella.
She especially loves Cinderella "Della." 
That's the only one she'll say, and I'm not gonna lie...
It's so darn cute! Disney Princess or not.
I am more of an Ariel girl, myself, but whatever she wants. Kid looks good in blue anyway.

So last week I went to the store to buy her something with her favorite princess on it, and she ended up with a Cinderella doll and a blue horse too.

I won serious Mommy points the day I brought that home.
She had her own Della, and she was so happy... despite looking as though she's threatening Della's very plastic existence in this photo.

Curiosity Photo Challenge

I'm always up for it, and here's Paper Mama's second photo challenge:

So the challenge is to find a photo of your child exemplifying curiosity.

I didn't even have to dig for this photo. 

It came to mind as soon as I read the challenge.

This was taken in October. Addie was 8 months old and very, very mobile.

As I was emptying the dryer, she was climbing in.

I'm not going to lie I let her, because I was so amused at how determined she was to get in the dryer. 

Once she did get in curiosity surely did overwhelm her. 

I'm imagining her thinking she was in a space ship or something because she was just amazed. 

Fortunately this was the last time my child climbed in the dryer. 

Joy Photo Challenge

I'm all about a challenge, and The Paper Mama's got one.

This is my baby girl, 

and she is my joy.

 In this photo, she was 8 months and 10 days old. 

Some things that bring joy to my little Squiggy?:

-turtle (pictured above)

-being chased

-chocolate

-animals, particularly dogs and birds

-"Hot Diggity Dog" song

-saying "Cinderalla" ("Della")

-and quacking like a duck
