~How long have you been blogging?
I've been blogging since the late summer of 2008 on this blog, but I was a Myspace blogger 2005-2008 (I know, myspace?)
~Why did you start blogging?
I originally started blogging because I was hormonal and lonely.
I started my blog while I was evacuated from Hurricane Gustave that hit my city while I was pregnant. I was depressed, sick, and didn't feel like talking to anyone. I kept this blog private and ranted on about things I felt like I could write, but not say.
~Tell me about your blog's title. Why did you choose it?
"The Good Life" title was chosen simply because I lacked cleverness to come up with something cute, funny, or reflective of the blog.
I do have a good life, and that's generally what I blog about so the simple title sticks.
~What do you blog about?
I mostly blog about my baby girl, parenting, projects, crafts, and I occasionally share recipes or products that I feel like need shoutouts.
~What is your favorite thing about blogging?
My favorite thing about blogging is mostly the blogs I follow. I follow a nice even variety of parenting tips, recipes, and craft ideas.
~If you had to choose one famous person to become your blog's next devoted reader, who would you pick?
This won't make any sense, but I'd say Ellen Degeneres. I really love her and all that she does. I watch her show every day, enter her contests regularly and I just think she's hilarious. It's a (non)secret dream of mine to at least see her show in my lifetime.
Isn't that silly?
So while Ellen could care less about my silly crafts, boring baby pictures, and attempted recipes, I would love for her to follow me that way I follow her. It'd be returning the deed, right? Plus then she could see me beg for tickets! <3
~What's the funniest comment you've ever received on a blog post?
I have no idea to be honest. I don't really get a lot of comments, but I do get a lot of hits. I guess the funniest thing is when one of my blogs lurkers mistakenly comes out of the closet.
Like someone I know will be talking about how they knew Adeline was or wasn't doing something, or they saw a craft I did.
I always think to myself how creepy it is at first because I can't remember telling or showing that person the specific information so I gather they read it on my blog.
I just think that's funny sometimes because I'm a little slow and confused when I realize people/friends/family read and I never realized it.
