Applesauce

As some of you know, I made all of Adeline's babyfood.
In my opinion, pureeing, and doing extra dishes is well worth the extra nutrients your baby by some fresh fruits and veggies.
I kind of hold to that opinion now that she's older.
If I can save on preservatives and extra sugars and syrups and just whip something up myself, I do that.

So today I applesauced.
Nothing like the sweet smell of baking apples filling your home.
Just slice um up, sweeten them with a little brown sugar and cinnamon, add a little water to the pan, and bake at 375 for about an hour stiring as needed.
Puree it up, and freeze some in ice cube trays for later.
Easy as pie (but much healthier than the actual pie).

[I left the skins on for this applesauce, but for a baby I would definitely peel the apples to eliminate any choking hazard.]

Oh and for your viewing pleasure I also captured a series of Adeline walking around the house trying to put her vest hoodie back on. Her newest fasication is trying to dress herself.
[Today's wardrobe issures were not as funny as a few days ago when she walked around with my panties around her neck and my bra on her arm like a purse.]

Those sleeves are tricky.

  1. My boys will still come out of my room with one of my bras to be funny - I have to admit, I always laugh :)
