Pillows

My plain ol' couch has just been paid off, and of course our luck has it that one of the pillows to the couch got caught in the washing machine and tore open upon my washing it.

I had been keeping an eye out for some throw pillows to match my living room, but I hadn't found anything.

My floors have a blue-gray-beige color to them, and I tend to stick with that in my decorating (or lack there of). So it was hard to find something with the right color.

Until i stumbled upon the SALE upholstery rack at Handcocks. SCORE!

So I made some pillows for the couch. Now I'm telling you this is as simple as simple gets, which is about all i can handle when it comes to sewing. I'm by no means good at it, but I can sew rectangles fairly well.

With a little help from my sister, and a lot of stuffing, my couch looks brand new.

and since Gracie will be 2 in a couple of months she got a new bed that more suits her size.

  1. The pillows look great! And that is a sweet (HUGE) ottoman!

  2. Thank you! I was hand-stitching the little openings where I stuffed them and i thought, "God, how does Megan do all of that cross stitching this sucks!"
lol but I'm also blind so that doesn't help.

and yes, my ottoman is annoying and huge, but Philip loves it.
