Blog Award

I got a blog award. Seriously? (Uh huh, I know that's what you were thinking!)

I'm totally surprised and seriously flattered that one of my favorite bloggers gave my blog some positive recognition. I just think Tia is so awesome.
You should definitely check out her blog Christopher and Tia.
She just has a way of relating like you're her best friend, and I never miss a post! Love her!

If I understand right, I am to share 10 random things about myself, and then pass this award on to 3 beautiful blogs.

My randoms:

I've been with my husband since I was 15. I've never had another boyfriend, and he was all of my firsts. We were high school sweet hearts, even voted "Cutest Couple" and "Most likely to be together in 50 years" in high school. We've been together for 8 years now.

I always hesitate pulling away from a pump at the gas station. I fear I'm going to be the whacko woman driver who drove off with the gas  pump still in the car.

I picked my daughter's name out when I was 14 and declared I would one day have a little girl named Adeline.

When my ears are cold I like to feel my earlobes with my fingernail cuticles. It's been a habit I've had since a very young age, and sometimes I do it without even noticing to Philip or the baby.

I forget that I put food in the oven. A lot.

I have a tendency to think everything needs polka dots. You know polka dots make almost anything cuter.

Since my husband has gone away for work, I have a weird phobia of someone hiding under my bed waiting to kill me in the middle of the night. Last night, in fact, I did a run-and-jump-into-bed thing afraid something might grab at my ankles. (No, I'm not 6, if you were just wondering.)

I'm a total breastfeeding advocate, and quite often find myself missing it.

I have more freckles than I could ever count, and you should know that I've tried.

I call my little girl Squiggles, Squiggy, Squig, Squiggum Bottom, and Squigity.
She answers to all of the above (and of course, her real name)
I've done that since she was a few days old since she never-ever sits still.
I don't realize how strange that is until I call her this in public and I get the strangest looks.

Now I feel like a little leaguer pitching in a pro game here, but when I thought of the 3  most beautiful blogs that I follow [excluding the one that passed this award down to me] these were the 3 I decided to pass the award onto:

Cakies
This is a beautiful, inspiration blog that I just love to follow. She is a Christian, crafty mom of 3 pretty little girls. Every post is filled with beauty, and I often find myself a little more cheery after a Cakies update. She also has a darling little shop filled with a bunch of cute stuff!

The Feminist Housewife
I really relate a lot to Caroline. She's a young, married Mom of one with a really good sense of creativity, ethics, and balance. She's inspirational and not to mention you get a good laugh at how raw and real she is sometimes. I really think her blog is beautiful!

Our Life: Narrated by Lacey
Lacey is my best blogger friend. I think I've probably read and enjoyed every single entry that I've followed over the years. Lacey is a beautiful person, and she really just has a knack for journaling. I think she keeps a real well-rounded blog that any mother can appreciate and adore.

Dude, I totally had a rough time picking these three blogs out.
There are just so many that I really truly love.

Really sweet!

  1. I love learning about people's quirks, like how you put your cuticles on your earlobes. That is so interesting! I have too many quirks to count.

  3. I SO do the run and jump thing when T is gone. I am also going to admit that I put the metal umbrella stand in front of the back door so if someone should break in, it will fall over and wake me up. I am a freak.
