Oh TWOodles

Guess what I'm working on?
Yep, a "Mickmey Pawty".
With some simple decoration projects full of red, black, white, and yellow and a touch of mouse ears here and there, we're hoping to throw our sweet baby girl the best little birthday party ever!

Unfortunately I don't have the energy, money, nor time to go all out on a full throttle take-your-breath-away Mickey Mouse party, but I'm thinking my soon to be 2 year old won't care either way.
Mickey is her favorite right now and I know she's just going to be thrilled with her party.

I'm planning on making a Mickey ear rag wreath, kind of like my Christmas rag wreath.
I'm going to do red, yellow, and white cupcakes with Mickey ear toppers.
I'll do a red, black, white, and yellow Happy Birthday banner, along with other various decorations in Mickey colors.
Balloons all over the floor, streamers across the kitchen....
you know the whole birthday thing.

So since we have so much going on right now, I'm slowly tackling a project at a time so that I'm not overwhelmed at the last minute.

I know Mickey Mouse is a classic childhood staple, and I bet many if you have Mickey Mouse partied in the passed, so if you have an ideas of any simple projects or decorations I could work on in conjunction with our theme, send me a link or email me!
Thank you guys!!!

  1. My daughters 2nd bday was Mickey mouse!! I melted crayons and made Mickey Mouse crayons for favors...I got a mold on ebay I think...and had a coloring table for the kids I put the crayons on. I used the "kool-aid" playdoh recipe and made red/yellow/black playdoh that I put in these little containers I got from the dollar tree (10 for $1!) wrapped with clear wrap and ribbon and gave as favors to the kids....hhhmm..that's all I got!

  6. We had a Mickey party awhile ago too for Gage :) We played pin the tail on Pluto, which I just printed out a big Pluto picture from online, and had lots and red gooey fish (swedish fish) for the kids to snack on.

I can't wait to see what kind of ideas you come up with. I'm sure your party will be an awesome one, with a one excited two year old! ♥
