Blog Introducing my Selah

Oh hey, I forgot to tell you: 1 week and 5 days ago this beautiful little thing happened
Selah Grace came at 1:27pm on August 27th at 7lbs 14 ounces and 20 precious inches long.
She was my easiest labor and delivery, although upon her immediate arrival my sometimes insensitive and always sarcastic husband really had me convinced she had 6 toes on one foot. She doesn't. She has 10 perfect little baby toes that I kiss all day long.
Selah was ready for this world and after only 10 hours of labor and 2 pushes she came out eager to nurse (yea for like an hour and 20 mins straight after) and completely prepared to melt my heart with those gorgeous, blue eyes just like her sister and brother did.
The innocence and perfectness of a newborn is something that will always draw me to me knees in gratefulness to the Lord who chose me to give them to. Hours of being awake and eyelids so heavy and tired couldn't even convince me to sleep over staring at this new sweet life.
This new tiny, pretty girl.
Oh yea and another reason sleep was a little scarce was because of Isaac. Hurricane Isaac that is.
He's a jerk, and decided to come riiiiiight over our hometown just hours after one of the best days of my life. Way to be a buzz kill. Then he decided to hover over us for oh a couple of days. Jerk!
Peace and protection were over us though as God protected my babies at home and Philip, Selah, and me in the hospital. We're especially thankful for His protection when we drove our baby girl home during the eye of the storm. Yea, it's a long, complicated/boring story but we were all safe.
Having a baby is a blessing high for me. It's like I cannot say thank you enough. It's like I cannot fit one more ounce of joy into my heart because it is so full and throbbing with love. It's like all I want to do is hug and kiss my husband and talk about how amazingly blessed we are, but the blessing high usually leaves my throat swollen and eyes welled up with tears so I keep quiet and give kisses. Lots of them.
Oh and then there's ducky jammies.[linked to its very own blog post]
Sweet, silly little sleeper with ducks all over--it causes me to melt all over the floor.
When had Adeline I either forgot to pack clothes for her for the hospital or what I had didn't fit or something I don't remember. Either way I sent Philip home to get her a coming home outfit from out of her dresser. He came to the hospital with this.
Then when I packed a bag for Gideon I knew he of course had to wear the same thing.
and here we are with Selah girl.
Please bury me with these.
Selah Grace, your tiny baby booty in those ducky jams make every single torturous day of carrying you for 40 weeks worth it. You are a precious gift, and a beautiful, sweet baby, and I love you so much.
Okay I can't write anymore I need to go pick her up and cover her entire head with kisses immediately.

More later :)
