New Shirts

Well I know one little girl, two baby boys, a daddy, and even a momma who all just got new shirts.
Kind of.
Some of them were old shirts with new things added to them.
See:
Just a hand-me-down shirt upgraded turtle style.
This is my favorite out of all, but I'm saving it to show ya'll later.

I did all of these this week using freezer paper stenciling. Surely everyone knows what it is and likely has seen 134 tutorials on the method. BUT
if you live under a rock
and you haven't
I've attached some instructions on the following pictures that you can enlarge and follow if you're looking for an EASY, cheap, and fun way to upcycle some clothes in your closet or even make a few cute gifts.
I've been through a lot of fabric paint in the past, and here recently I've found my favorite!
Simply Screen
It's actually a screen printing ink/paint, but it's perfect for freezer paper stenciling.
It's vibrant, and soft, and so pretty!
So yea, grab a couple of bottles and freezer paper next time your out, and go craaaaaazy!

Here's to Turtle

Yep, it's been a year since the lime green sea turtle entered the Kebodeaux family.
Our 5 month old baby had her first trip to the aquarium and spotted it across the souvenir shop. I really didn't even want to buy him, but she went so nuts over him I had no choice, really. Glad we did, he's been her best friend ever since.
Here she is at the aquarium. Yes I'll call myself out for putting something ugly on her head.
and there he is the evening we brought him home...
look how shiny and soft he looks.
He was there for her 6 month shots.
He was there when she learned how to sit up.
Turtle took a back seat.
"TuhTuh" was her 3rd word.
He was a partner in crime.
He was there when she learned to walk.
He's good for lots of cuddles.
Turtle made it to her first birthday party.
and he was even featured on the birthday girl's cake.
Turtle gets dirty.
and of course he stayed behind the scene at Nanny's wedding.
He goes swimming.
and he even gets yummy breakfasts.
We love you little turtle.

Happy Birthday @ ya.
