Thursday Five

Today's the day where we (those of us that want to) post 5 things that have made us

Joyful: I organized my cabinets. All of them, in the house. Laundry room, kitchen, linen, closet you name it. Everything has a place and is polished and dusted and just right. Mmmmmmm

Giddy: I felt like I was in high school again when I got a sweet email from my husband who is working offshore. He never emails me, especially something sweet like this email. I tell you I felt 15 again.  won't share the whole thing, but I'll give you this:
"i love you more than i think is even possible. i thank you for us. i love you."
and he even sent a picture of the beautiful sunrise out in the gulf.

Excited: My new car was dented a couple of weeks ago by a rock thrown from a lawn mower. I've never had a new vehicle before, and I've been taking really good care of it, so it was inevitable that it had to be fixed. The dent was a size of a quarter and those people wanted $682 to fix and repaint it. Well if that's what it is, it is what it is. 3 days with out my car, and I was ready to get out of the house (mostly because I ran out of diet coke and was having withdrawls.)
So I go in the rain to pick up my car yesterday, and when I get it in, they VACUUMED and CLEANED it.
I mean I keep it clean, but vacuuming the ever coming cracker crumbs isn't high on my daily list. So when I saw that it looked and smelled brand new, I was over the moon!

Thankful: Addie Jean fell asleep on me twice this week. That's a big deal considering she never does that unless she's sick. She doesn't like to be rocked to sleep, and hasn't since she was an infant.
Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons she fell asleep on me, and I couldn't help but to thank God for the precious, amazing little human breathing on my chest. I have it so good.

Jubuliant: Philip comes home TOMORROW, 14 long days and tomorrow he's home. Insert Usher's "Daddy's Home" lyrics here.

  1. So sweet! I love this! I'm super jealous of your organizing the cupboards girl...mine are bulging and the hinges are almost coming off they are so full of junk! Email from your hubby? I die. How amazing is THAT?!?! I don't think Jon has ever expressed his love for me in that form, I didn't even get a sappy verse on our wedding day. Ah..a girl can dream.
    Car looks great!
Have FUN with your other half home...I'll bet you can't wait!
I would LOVE for Sophie to fall asleep on me just one more time! Unless she is sick too, it aint happening! I should have enjoyed it more!

  4. Happy your husband will be home tomorrow. Enjoy your time together.

And, it's so sweet when our little ones snuggle up to us and sleep. They grow up so fast. Enjoy every single moment.

  5. Max doesn't like to be rocked either. He is very independent, so I know how you feel! It really is a big deal and precious moment, when they let you hold them till they fall asleep!! Awwww! :)
Sweet letter from hubby!! Heart melt.

  6. Home tomorrow? Yay! Mike hates e-mail. Whenever I get an e-mail from him it's usually a link to something with no words. :)

    Good job on the organizing!
