I'm 25 weeks pregnant now, although I'd really rather count by weeks I have left rather than weeks far along I am.
I look more like 35 weeks pregnant, huh?
[Don't answer that, I already know.]
Seriously, I feel way bigger this pregnancy than my first. The belly is definitely larger, but my weight is about the same as it was this far along with Adeline.
I mean, by the end of the day, I'm already waddling people.
I can already feel him under my ribs when I'm not sitting up straight; I have a feeling he's going to be a pretty big boy. Although, Adeline was big too, at 40 weeks we induced because they were afraid she'd be too large to have naturally. She ended up at 8 pounds 1 ounce and 21 inches long.
and let me tell you I felt every 21 inches in there!
Eughh I don't even want to talk about that anymore.
Anyway, I've been hard at work clearing out my old craft room to transform into a nursery.
Maybe that's where the waddle comes from, it was after all pretty hard work doing it all by myself.
It paid off though! I feel like I have a blank canvas to work in, but now I just don't know what I want to do in it.
The wall color is a cloudy blue, and I'm not repainting. That's the color I painted when we built the house, and to be honest I just don't feel like repainting it. I probably should since it needs a few touch ups, but I know the paint is in the attic and with the heat to it it's probably slightly discolored. Oh well.
His dresser was moved in yesterday. It's an antique from my grandma. I originally wanted to paint it white and distress it a little, but my mom won't let me paint it since my grandma had it refinished a few years ago. It's free and we needed a dresser so I took it anyway. Plus that would just be another thing I'd have to get done.
I'm really glad I took it and I'm starting to love it just the way it is. The honey chestnut color matches the floor well, and I think that's the color I'll go with for the crib too. The knobs are crystal, and I think I'm going to change them to some big brushed nickel knobs to make it a little more masculine, but other than that I just need to get a changing pad for the top, and that's that!
Oh, he even has a few things in it although, I'm going to need to do some baby boy shopping pretty soon!
and the crib is going to go here between the windows. That's the chalk/peg board Philip made me for my craft room. It's obviously going to go, but it's too heavy for me to move by myself, so I've got to wait a couple of weeks until he's back. Our ugly electrical panel is underneath there, so I'll definitely be hanging something in it's place. I was thinking just a big board with striped fabric and maybe a big letter G or something, but I'm not loving that idea yet, so if you have any suggestions please, please, please throw them my way!
Here are some fabric swatches I'm planning on going with in the nursery. I really love gray, and I think I want mostly gray, silver, and orange accents in this room. I think it'll be a pretty contrast against the icey blue.
At first I was thinking of doing a mild goldfish theme in the room, but now I'm leaning towards no particular theme just strong and soft accents throughout. I don't know.
So, I have some questions/need some opinions:
-Do you have any clue or ideas on what I can put on the wall in place of my gigantic chalkboard that will cover the electrical box?
-Are those polka dots too girly?
- I'm not opposed to painting anything thing on the walls, but I was learning towards maybe a gray design here and there rather than animals or a mural or anything. Any ideas on where I can go there that would be something subtle?
-I've been slowly internet searching, but I don't think I'm looking in the right spots. Everythign I'm finding is either too cartoony or just not my style. If you have some pictures or a good website or seller that you could send my way, I'd love that!

I have 2 weeks to do any decorating before Philip gets in. I kind of want to go one way or the other before he's home so that he can't talk me out of anything, which he often does.
;)
Thanks guys!!
Have a lovely weekend
